'We probably saw our Birth Centre as a entitlement until the hospital threatened to close it because so many women transferred to hospital. We realised that without the commitment of the pregnant population to develop more skills in their own labour management that we would be required to close our doors. We began selling The Pink Kit and insisting very loudly that couples do the work'.

‘The Pink Kit Method will eventually change childbirth and the sooner the better. The idea that birth is so natural that women will just know how to do it seems not to be an approach that works. Perhaps when the modern system collapses then women will be forced to give birth without a medical system there. Do we really want that? Instead having couples work through The Pink Kit Method has meant that they birth better'.
