'We were fortunate to find a midwife who would help us with our posterior footling breech. This was my second birth; however, the first one was 18 years earlier and horrible. We used The Pink Kit to teach ourselves skills. We knew that with such an unusual situation we had to take more responsibility. Boy were we glad we did. The birth was so quick, our midwife hadnt left HER home. We delivered our daughter ourselves. My partner knew just how to help me.

I didnt appreciate the stress of my midwife until she told me that the last 4 birthing women had ended up in hospital having caeseareans due to failure to progress at home. The Pink Kit became more of a focus for our responsibility. If she was willing to help me, I sure was going to help her! Micki C.
When my daughter was born in the 1970s, few women were giving birth at home. There were no legally trained midwives, but many experienced obstetrical nurses who would help. Everyone was at risk so going to hospital was the very last resort. Since midwives have been licensed, more women are choosing home birth. But it seems they keep an eye on the pain relief available in hospital and head there more frequently. I tell all my clients that they absolutely have to use The Pink Kit...that's my expectation of their part of the deal. Most do and boy have the births been a pleasure.

Midwife and mother
Our mother arrived two weeks before our due date and so did the baby...that night. Many people have difficulty adjusting to the unexpected, but with The Pink Kit skills you'll be able to face your reality with a good set of skills for yourself and partner. This way you'll settle down to what is happening NOW rather than thinking about what you thought might happen.
I had envisioned every single situation I could...early rupture of membranes, past my due date, breech baby, meconium staining, even having to go to hospital. I didn't envision an unannounced twin! Speak about personal denial... I always thought there was lots of movement but I put it down to a very active baby. We had used The Pink Kit for our first birth, so we had reviewed everything during this pregnancy. The skills certainly helped me and my husband much more this time. Labour was more like a dance.

This was my fifth baby. I think I kept getting pregnant until I got birth right. My husband said 'This is absolutely our last!' I had had a c/s with our first and second, a forceps delivery with our third, a failed home birth with our fourth. Then we discovered The Pink KIt. Finally, I knew where I was. At every other birth when things heated up, I'd say to my care provider 'I don't know where I am'. They'd do an ve and tell me. But it never made sense to me in relationship to what I was feeling, so I never knew where I was in any birth. That's why my previous home birth failed. I felt something happen and got scared. Our midwife made us go to hospital because she thought I had a big baby. I gave birth inside the door and realised afterward what I had felt was the baby moving down. This time I was determined to stay and home and know where I was. My husband thought I was nuts but he's such a good man. We prepared together and loved The Internal Work. We learned so much about what was inside me. During labour, my husband checked me first when I didn't know where I was, told me what he felt, then I'd feel and could feel the same thing. This kept us very focused together. I wanted to squat to give birth and did. Our baby's head came out but the body didn't. His little head started to turn darker colours and the midwife wanted me to get into a hands/knees position. I didn't. I knew my baby was ok and told her so and asked to wait a minute while I figured it out. My husband whispered to me to give the baby room ( it said in the video...squatting can squash a baby and the minnie mouse muscles can get tight). As soon as he said that I knew what I had to do. I stood up and lifted one leg. My midwife almost didn't catch him! I really blessed her for trusting me. I really felt so grateful for the skills. I'm healed and don't need any more children. Thank God ! says my husband.
