'The Pink Kit Method is about being aware, conscious, in touch and attuned to your body. Shift your thinking, develop The Pink Kit skills and work through the process of labour. If I had gone through childbirth before my high performance sporting events, I would have been even better as an athlete. E.B. NZ athlete
I know this sounds very silly now but when I was pregnant I thought that giving birth was sort of like squirting my baby out of my body like how a toothpaste tube works. It's nothing like that. Thanks to The Pink Kit, I got real rather than seeing birth as a cartoon. Mary-Anne non-professional bicyclist Alaska
My husband was an All Black and I held a world aerobic championship. We used The Pink Kit. We made a birth plan and stated we didn't want pain relief. But in labour, I would have loved an epidural. My husband just knew what to do and knew I could do it and I DID. It was incredibly challenging at the moment, but I truly recommend to everyone that they learn The Pink Kit skills and USE them rather than use pain relief to dull yourself. Norm and Arlene NZ
I had practiced yoga for over 15 years and thought that was all I needed to have a beautiful natural birth. I ended up with a caesarean after 15 hours of misery. I distribute The Pink Kit to pregnant women taking my pregnancy yoga class. I tell them that yoga is not enough and The Pink Kit is what you really need to know to specifically prepare for childbirth and the skills to use in labour. Sara Yoga Instructor
Having been an iceskater, I considered that I was in perfect shape to give birth. I was strong, flexible and poised. After 3 frustrating caesareans, I was desperate. I so wanted to give birth vaginally. I found The Pink Kit on the internet. It answered so many of my questions as to why I had the 3 c/s. I did give birth vaginally at home. It was my sacrum! I tended to hold it quite rigidly. Having done the internal work, once I let go of my sacrum, my daughter fell out. Keri ... amateur figure skater
I was so in touch with my body from using The Pink Kit. I won a bronze medal in rowing for my county at the Olympics, had two boys then my sister gave me The Pink Kit. My third birth was a breeze. I unexpectedly fell pregnant again. Because of The Pink Kit, I was able to follow along with how our fourth son wanted to be born. With all my other labours, I could have stood on my head and the babies would have flown out. This time, if a leaned forward just a small bit, the labour would cut out. I had to sit just so. My job was to stay opened and relaxed. When my son was born, he had the cord wrapped around his arms, chest, hips and legs. No wonder he wanted me to sit very still and just so. Poor dear. I thought that giving birth was about developing strong muscles and being in shape so that I could push my baby out. After a 36 hour labour, I ended up with a caesarean. I was devastated. When my husband who is a world class extreme athlete and I worked through The Pink Kit, we realised that preparing for birth was learning to soften and relax and to give birth was to make space for the baby to come out. Boy did I have to get my head wrapped around that different concept. Jodie ... wind surfer
