'My second baby was breech. So was my first and I got sectioned with him without a trial of labour. He was 5 lbs 5 oz. Nine years later I got pregnant again and this baby was also breech. I found a doctor 5 hours away who would deliver a breech after a cesarean and did I ever use The Pink Kit. I had a long labour, but managed it. And I gave birth to a 9 lb 8 oz baby boy without pain relief and naturally and I didn’t tear.’

I was too afraid to try giving birth to my breech baby. I was terrified by the possibility of my baby dying or being brain damaged, so we planned a cesearean. I felt good about that, but wasn’t really comfortable going to birth classes. The Pink Kit was the solution. We did the work at home and just are so thankful. I still feel good about our decision, but when we get pregnant again, I’ll see how I feel about trying a VBAC.’

My partner was so determined to give birth to our breech baby that she dragged me along. I probably would have agreed with our doctor. She felt that a caesarean was safer for two reasons. First, the breech. Second, this was our first child. My wife said 'NO' very loudly. I could see our doctor sort of purse up her mouth, but she couldn't make my wife have a caesarean. She made us feel very guilty. My wife's mother gave us The Pink Kit because she knew someone else's daughter who had used it. We loved it and worked very hard. From the internal work, we determined that my partner had plenty of room. She did have some tight muscles inside and we worked to get them more pliable. We learned alot about positions and what would keep our baby in the best position to come out. My partner's labour was very quick. Our doctor arrived as I was holding on to our son's bottom as he was heading down...feet first. My wife was kneeling and he delivered up to his nipples and stopped. I could see her vagina tighten up and her begin to tighten her bum muscles. She was also leaning too far forward. I told her to get her upper body upright and to lift one leg. Our son slid right out. It all happened so fast, my ability to see the changes, knowing our baby was stuck a bit because of what she was doing and my being able to tell her specifically what to do. It all took about 5 minutes but it felt like forever. Our doctor was very impressed'.

We were pregnant with twins. Our midwife could help us deliver in hospital with a specialist present. Our first baby was head down, but the second one was obviously breech. We were very committed to have a trial of labour. If there were problems, we were also more than willing to have a caesarean. Using The Pink Kit made a huge difference to us. The specialist and midwife didn't think that there was anything we could really do to prepare for birth. They particularly made us feel that the internal work wasn't going to make a difference. However, the kit allowed us to do something for ourselves over a 4 month period and that alone gave us more confidence. We noticed a huge change in how my wife responded to the internal work after two weeks of doing it every day. She wasn't so reactive. Boy, when she tightened up those inner muscles, I could feel why it would be hard for a baby to come out. Anyway, we did give birth vaginally. The midwife and specialist required my wife to birth in a position they wanted and the doctor delivered the second baby with a forcep assist. We didn't think it was necessary, but my wife was so stretchy down there, the specialist didn't need to cut her. We believe in The Pink Kit and absolutely know that the skills we used made a huge difference.'

We planned a caesarean when we discovered our baby would not turn around. We were already using The Pink Kit because we had planned a home birth. Our midwife couldn't deliver in hospital and won't do a home breech birth. The hospital policy was to section all breeches. At first we were angry and then we realised that there was a lot we could do for ourselves and that was The Pink Kit. We felt more empowered, more connected and we used heaps of the skills. We think the staff was either very impressed or thought we were nuts. For my husband and myself, we had made the most of the situation'.
