‘I’m a paraplegic and have been since 16. When I fell pregnant, my doctor had concerns about my pregnancy and ability to give birth. My mother gave me The Pink Kit. Some things we couldn’t do, but most everything was just learning about my body and how to stay relaxed and focused. I gave birth in under 6 hours vaginally. It was great.

‘I have two uteruses, two vaginas. I’m not certain if you’d classify me as disabled, but the doctors were very concerned. I used The Pink Kit to achieve what I wanted…a home birth. I did the internal work in both vaginas even though I knew which uterus I carried my baby.

‘My wife had a major heart problem. Our doctor didn't even want her to attempt a natural birth. My wife was very forceful. Even with her heart problem she had done sports and was a very active woman. She (we) negotiated up to the last minute. We had to find out exactly what our doctor had a concern about, what the symptoms would be, what the bottom line dangers were etc. My wife also reassured our doctor that she was very aware of her own health and if anything seemed to be a problem that she would, of course, accept the medical care. Actually the doctor told her that he was more concerned about 2nd stage and the efforts of pushing on her heart. Boy did that kick her up the butt to do The Internal Work. She was almost fanatical but I understood. She wanted to prove to her doctor that she could do this. She already had belief in herself. Anyway, she was magical. Her labour started about 3:00am. She didn't seem to be in too much pain and we hung out together. Because we had learned to check, we did and when she felt very open in her cervix we headed to hospital. She didn't want to be in hospital too long because she thought they'd fiddle. We probably left it too late to leave because she almost had our daughter in the car, but we got there. The doctor arrived as our daughter's head was just delivering. I have to say his face was sort of a mixture of gratitude, amazement, amusement and consternation that the second stage was so easy. My wife did not gloat...good girl.

‘We learned about The Pink Kit and used it for 2 years before we got pregnant along with other types of natural health. My wife had severe rheumatoid arthritis and she had been advised not to have children. Yet, she was desperate to have a family. We took her preparation very seriously and built up her health with both our doctor's advise and natural health. Our doctor was very supportive of everything we did. The Pink Kit helped us focus on the specifics of labour and how to prepare her body for childbirth so that the birth was easier. We got pregnant the first time we tried. Her pregnancy was the best time of her life. Labour was very easy and we were all so very happy. When our daughter was 5 my wife died, but I know how happy she was being a mother.

I’m profoundly deal and couldn’t listen to the audio tape in The Pink Kit, I had my sister listen to the audio tape and signed me the instructions. We laughed a lot.
