'Within my Church, we are expected to have the grace of the Christ in our labour. This was very hard for me to achieve and I felt like a failure. After working through The Pink Kit, I was able to place my attention to the task and become involved in the process of labour and birth. I realised that for me, having grace could include not liking the experience rather how to respond graciously when I didn't like something.

My wife was so sad after the birth of our first child. She tried to be cheerful but I knew that she was ashamed of her birth. She lost quite a bit of that beautiful spark. I didn't know what to do. I felt ashamed of myself. I knew that I hadn't been the support she needed. We moved to another State and some women in our Church told us about The Pink Kit when we got pregnant again. We were hungry for any information we could get that might help us have a better birth. We found it.

In our Faith, men can not touch women when there is blood. We pray during their labour and the person who will coach them is another woman. I grew up not thinking much about birth and what women knew or what women had to do to prepare for birth. After 3 children, our intimate relationships continued to decline because it had become so painful for my wife. Other women in our community began to use The Pink Kit and you know how women talk. My wife used the internal work every day for weeks. This birth was her best. She was a changed woman and she gave us a gift as well. The men in our community are becoming very interested.

I work almost exclusively with a very ultra orthodox Jewish group in my community. I was brought up as Irish Catholic. As a midwife, introduced to The Pink Kit, I was cautious about introducing the information to the women. However, they have taught me a great deal about the universality and benefits of the information. They were very relaxed about the internal work. They recognize the importance of preparing for childbirth and protecting their own bodies. Many of the women will have between 10 and 20 children. Certain religious practices in regard to their monthly cycle and resuming intimate relationships with their partners makes doing the internal work an easy concept. After births they will tell me proudly I did my homework. They now experience fewer episiotomies, hemorrhoids, bladder problems or painful intimate relationships. In fact they often remark, a few hours after giving birth, that they have no discomfort.

As a Buddhist, we do not consider that this is a religious, rather a way of Life. I had my three children in Tibet before I escaped to Northern India. My third babys head came out but then his body got stuck. My husband, neighbour and I had to work very hard to deliver my baby which we did successfully. When I was shown The Pink Kit Method body knowledge, I knew that if I had known this fantastic child birth information that my baby probably would not have gotten stuck.

We moved away from India for job reasons and found ourselves in a country where fathers were expected to be with the woman during labor and birth. This was not common in my country. As a Hndu father, I was both excited and very, very nervous. Since Hindu child birth is exclusively for women, I had not been taught how to help my wife. We were introduced to The Pink Kit Method by another Hindu family who had used it. We found it so easy to work with. We both learned so much. We had such an amazing birth for our son.
